What success looks like in this role:

We are seeking an experienced and hands on Engineer with specialized skills working on developing applications and a flair for new and emerging technologies. The engineer will be responsible for:

• Quickly converting an idea to a demonstration
• Working within in a global Scrum team to develop rapid prototypes and Proofs of Concept (PoCs)
• As member of this Scrum team, collaborating in all stages of development including refining vision, gathering requirements, architecture, design, coding, integration, testing, release
• Participating in emerging technology research projects and presenting results and outcomes to the team, stakeholders and even in a technical talk open to all of Unisys
• Fearlessly digging into the latest technologies to figure out how they work and how they can be applied to client and industry problems
• Gaining new skills in modern and emerging tech areas such as App development, AI/ML, cybersecurity, etc.
• Gaining new skills in researching start-ups and related 3rd party technologies
• Learning, evaluating and leveraging a variety of tools and technologies
• Being a self-starter and able to work independently, as well as within a team, to deliver a result
• Demonstrate passion for quality and productivity by use of efficient development techniques, standards, and guidelines.

You will be successful in this role if you have:

• Computer Science/EE undergraduate degree, or demonstrated equivalent knowledge.
• Proficient knowledge of back-end programming languages like NodeJS/Python/ Golang
• Experience working with one or more emerging technologies, a plus
• Experience implementing APIs and SDK
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins and/or GIT
• Knowledge of Azure, Aws and/or Google services
• Working knowledge with databases like MongoDB and CosmosDB, a plus
• Cloud certification at any level will be an added advantage
• Good written and verbal communication skills, flexible and good attitude
• Strong technical and analytical skills
• Familiar with SCRUM methodology
